2001 brought new labs into the organization first as Coal Strip, Montana with Tom Crook as manager followed by Dickie Greg, Dusty Nagel, Ken Rolf and Levi Greer. And secondly, another lab at Bickmore, WV was started with Al Taylor as manager but closed after only one year of operation. Chuck Vidas is named manager of the Kenova lab which closed shortly thereafter.

Jim Hatton was appointed Manager of Sales and Marketing for all of Std Labs during this year but left shortly after obtaining another job with a Kentucky public utility.
