Std Labs was fortunate enough to hire Allen Seaman in November of this year as Manager of Technical Projects. Allen had been with Kanawha Scales and SGS in a number of roles where he became highly recognized in the technical community within the coal testing industry. He has been a great addition to the leadership team and became Technical Director for the whole organization. Allen made Std Labs the best technically of any of the other participants in our industry. He became a leader in ASTM nationally and lead our company in ISO accreditation activities.
Claudette Young was promoted to Lab Manager of the South Charleston Laboratory.
In 2006 a joint venture lab was established in Charleston, SC with SAI partner Hampton Roads Testing (to be discussed in the“Partnership” section).
