NUCLEAR STOCKPILE INVENTORIES
In the late 1980s Greg Gould of Fuel Engineering and Std Labs decided to start a new business wherein coal stockpiles at utilities would be more accurately measured by nuclear techniques to determine depth and mass and thereby allow for better control of tonnages feed into coal fired burners.
This effort was suggested by Bill (last name has been forgotten) who had experience in this technology. After a few projects over a couple of years, it was discovered that Bill was not completely fair to the enterprise and the company was then dissolved.
Unfortunately, there was a dispute about final pay to Bill and the matter was settled eventually in a court case to the satisfaction of neither party.
